2) We find this amazing since: a) Average player salaries are right where they were PRIOR to the work stoppage
b) Ticket prices(the life blood of revenue) are about the same or even a bit less in some places
c) TV revenue has decreased to a small degree
3) What did we miss here?? Gary Bettman et. al. have a printing press for money, or more likely was the whole lockout nonsense just a way to rid themselves once and for all of Bob Goodenow?

perhaps the owners were lying about how much they were losing? but didn't they lose money in the lockout too? if things are the same why would it matter if goodenow is there or not?
funny you would think, that the nhl executive and the owners would continue to scream poverty, its in their best interest, to keep salaries down..hey it worked during the lockout. so i think maybe the forbes report is accurate...but i am willing to bet the distance between rich teams and poor teams, is just as far now as it was pre lookout. all this said, i for one hope the nhl is in the black, that the cap continues to rise..and that by some miracle of fate the nhl gets a lucrative tv contract.
