South East Powers!

1) First off, had a great time with everyone last evening at Verizon center in D.C.. The pregame at Ruby's was a blast! Being so close(across the street) from the arena the place fills up with hockey fans a good 2 hours before the puck is dropped. We want to thank all who joined us for our now traditional, pregame tail gating.
2) The game itself started a bit slowly, but improved(from a Cane's stand point) from there. Brind'amour seems to have found the fountain of youth as he was flying out there. Along with Whitney and Cole, they seemed to almost be toying with their Cap counter parts at times. It appears after a slow start that the Cup champs are back!
3) Another disappointing crowd. Couldn't have been more than 10K there. After seeing crowds that were near or at capacity out west and in Canada the last week or so in the SouthEast was really a bummer. Although that division possesses the last 2 champs, and some of the best young talent in the league, most teams are struggling at the turnstiles. Sad state of affairs that we hope turns around, and soon!
4) On another note, during yesterday's tailgating, we were discussing the current state of affairs of this site with respect to 'moderation' and the reasons for such. There was total agreement of everyone that the person for whom this was aimed at went WAY over the top, but many of you folks preferred if we opened things back up.
5) They, almost to a man,(and woman) said they usually saw those offensive posts as comic relief, but understood why we will still continue to eliminate any posts that are spam oriented. (contain a reference to a web site) Jerry Larabee and his wife Eunice, were quite persuasive on that issue. LOL Anyway, as this site was started for all of YOU folks out there, we will bend to your wishes.

I have to agree with your tailgate crew from last night. Lets get back to discussing hockey here. We'll just skim over any silly notes. : )

1) Sounds like a great idea to all of us. We pledge to even continue to do that even after the inevitable return of the nonsense that we're expecting to resume shortly

Like I said...I won't go away!

Nice to see your 'imaginary' commentators are still at it!

Don't want a link posted in your comments...ok...even though that is not how Blogger defines spam...most of your readers are familiar with my site!

Instead of deleting posts...how bout responding to the allegations?

I contend YOU created imaginary posters to comment on your site!

PROOF:

1. All the names in question (10 of them) were created in November 2006.

2. All of them have 1 blog entry.

3. Each of the blog entries was COPIED without permission from another site. Email verifications from the original writers have been received from MOST.

Same M/O...same Creator!

1. Hey Faux, Nutz is pretty persistent AND resilient. Nevertheless, its great to be back on US soil and it was a blast Friday night. Had only the activities on the ice been 1/10 of the fun we had at Ruby's, people might have stayed awake for the entire 60 minutes.

2. You didn't tell me that Jeff Rothenberg was going to be there. What a great surprise that was. Also, I particularly enjoyed seeing Tara Lennon again. Its been quite some time, and she looked wonderful.

3. In hockey related opinion, its becoming very clear to me that the Rangers may be in some serious trouble this year. The defense looks sub-par at best, and with King Hank struggling a bit, this could be a long, disappointing season in the Big Apple.

4. The Caps continue to lose in OTs, although they were greatly undermanned last evening. Coach Hanlon desperately needs to shake things up on the power play. They appear beyond confused with the extra man. Also, for the next shootout, I would love to see some creativity in the selected shooters. Semin - DENIED, Ovechkin - DENIED, Pettinger - DENIED. Its getting old, Glen.

4. Sheldon Souray for Norris! Antz, marching on

1. Even though Jerry Larabee was "Upside Down" for the majority of the evening, he provided us with great entertainment. He finally solved the plagiarism issue with Hugh through the process of VRUSP (Vocal Reverberation Under Spinal Pressure). Its a brilliant analogy. Antz hopes to be out at an upcoming "Gate" soon.

Souray for Norris? In order to be the league's top Defenseman isn't it a prerequisite to be your team's top defenseman?

1. People, people - relax. Of course, Mr. Souray will not be winning any post season awards. Just shaking Pinko up a little. MARKOV for Norris!!!

1. Ya know, Faux, NUTZ has a point. You really shouldn't be censoring him. If he wants to spend his time trying to disprove your rumors and/or theories, then let him. This blog should NOT be solely for the entertainment for your sychophants.

2. While I am aware of the legitimacy of many of your posters and "sources," I can see where you should be questioned with cynicism. Learn some tolerance and begin to have some more fun with your OWN blog.

Its ANTZ promoting insightful discourse!
