1) Apologies for the loose Brittany Spears reference, but in fact we DID do it again: Scooped all the other sights with our Devils analysis.
2) We refer back to our posting gone 9/25: http://fauxrumors.blogspot.com/2006/09/what-Lou-will-do.html#links Here we outlined in almost eerily detail what would occur for Lamarello and the Devils to weasel out of their salary cap issues.
3) Sure enough, 1 week later it comes to fruition. We also were one of the first (before training camps opened) to say that Gionta and the other free agents had handshake deals in place. http://fauxrumors.blogspot.com/2006/09/handshake-deal.html#links
4) We're told, not surprisingly, to expect those deals to be finalized over the next couple of days and the Devils essentially remain intact to start season 2006-2007, where most of the rumor mongers had made up outrageous trade rumors to satisfy their paying customers. Using the Devils problems as bait
5) As always we here at FAUXRUMORS answer to no one, therefore we are free to post actual information as we receive it from our many sources through out the NHL. As always, keep it here for the latest!

1) As mentioned in another thread, we were quite busy over the weekend following the Devil situation (which is unique) as well as the Johnson trade.
2) We had heard some rumblings about the Habs looking to make a minor swap, but Gainey is one of the most tight lipped GM's in the business. As such we didn't pay much attention to Montreal over the weekend.
3) As mentioned in our Johnson post, we don't state that we can portend all trades/moves, but our track record the past 2 months is without peer on the hockey blog circuit.
4) Unlike some of those, we don't charge our readers.
As always keep it here for the latest
1) Also, we realize that Montreal and Toronto fans make up a large portion of our readers, and we feel compelled ONLY to discuss real rumors, not made up stuff that other sites do to keep their paying customers happy.
2) Those 2 cities have more nonsensical rumors than anywhere else. Name a player, and in all likelihood a rumor has been mentioned that he was going to Toronto or Montreal.
3) Geez, any Francophone in the NHL that hasn't been rumored to be going to the Habs has to feel slighted! LOL
I am curious as to why the original post shows it was modified on October 1st? What exactly did you modify on the post what will lou do?
Signed,
Suspicious
1) Not sure what you're talking about 'Nutz? The post on what Lou will do was created and post marked September 25th.
2) We will have our tech people look into it. Some recently have tried to attempt to play games with our site.
3) When you have one of the most popular hockey blog sites, and certainly the fastest growing one on the net, you can expect attacks.
4) We're prepared for it, especially when our 'outing Eklund' piece is published.
Thanks!
1) Thanks for your support 'rainbow, as well as the many who have sent private e-mails to (fauxrumors@yahoo.com)
2) We aren't going to alienate any of our readers here but some believe that the NHL revolves around their team.
3) We will continue to be out in front of as many of the major moves in the NHL as is possible. As always, keep it here for the latest
