I make no apologies for Faux

1. Bob Clarke resigns and Ken Hitchcock is fired. Where is the juicy rumor two days ago? While I make no excuses for my friends at Faux, what would the honest reaction of the viewers have been had this story made the board yesterday? I am sure there would have been a sarcastic comment, similar to the one NUTZ made some time ago regarding the Leafs and Sens woes.

Wow...who would have thought that the Leafs are concerned about their injury depleted Blue Line! And the Sens off to a bad start are examining things...wow you are CUTTING EDGE BABY!

2. It seems sometimes the rumor business is a no win situation. However, I am disappointed in FAUX, proving I am no sycophant, in mentioning that I would have liked to have been informed as to the Flyer coaching/GM possibilities following this "inevitable" circumstance. Now THIS type of information is something I would think "sources" would be akin to.

3. I am challenging FAUX right now to pick up the pace, focus, and get some of these stories out there before ESPN. I prefer to comment on the RUMORS, as well as sports happenings.

4. In other news, how 'bout them Cards? As far as I am concerned, Tony LaRussa gets his "Genius" title back if his team pulls this one off. I still feel as though the Tigers are the better team, but that was damn ugly yesterday from a Detroit standpoint. ANTZ, signing off

You see FAUX...if you had said that the Flyers would clean house this weekend you would have had something to GLOW about! Sure the situation in Philly was looking bleak and everyone knew something was going to have to give one way or another soon...If you actually had sources you would have been able to inform your readers the changes were imminent and exactly what changes were coming.

Most people speculated that Hitch would be gone. A few speculated that Clark would be gone. Very difficult to find any that predicted both. Calling that would have proven something.

And what better way to shove it in my face than to have called that!

But yes, once again you fail your readers. You say you have sources...then how did they miss this?

FAUX = FAKE! And that is just what you are!

PS...you will have noticed that I have never attacked you, Code or anyother Rumor site for not calling anything. I'm a reasonable person and understand with 30 teams you can't have your finger in everything. I simply post when your rumors are proven wrong, not which ones you don't predict.

BTW...100% of your predictions that I have analyzed in my blog you have been WRONG about. Doesn't sound like you have much in the way of quality insider information. Even Code and Ek hit it right once in a while...even if it is by fluke!

PS. I will reveal the final two pieces of your Glory to be false within days...

1. Malkin Godfather conversations you made up. I have proof those conversations never happened.

2. The entire Devils Situation Many others reported before you

Have a nice Sunday!

not to blow my own horn, but mentioned that i thought that the spit was going to hit the fan in philly, a couple of days ago...ha well of course it didn't really take a rocket scientist to figure out that something had to give there..snider was pissed, i am a little shocked that bobby resigned/got fired, not that i thought it was a bad idea..but he is a philly institution.

as for the cards, i have feeling its their year, any team that has the best player in baseball has to be taken seriously...that said i'd love to see the tigers win it.

We agree Pinko. Sure we heard rumblings of this Saturday morning, but as Antz correctly pointed out it would hardly have been an Earth shattering rumor to throw out there.

hey antz, the gambler is pitching his ass off eh..les tigres are still in it...gonna be a rough ride vs. carpentier, and suppan, in stl. funny that the tigers win playing small play and the cards win with their bats...kinda of a role reversal for the american vs. national league classic. i for one usually always cheer for the national league, the dh is for wimps, and well i am was a huge expo fan (ya there were a coupla of us), the tigers play the kinda game i like, intelligent tactical base ball, fun world series so far.

1. Kenny is pitching out of his mind in these playoffs - its difficult to explain, especially with his new found emotional style. This is a guy who was bordering on dead for the past fifteen years, with the exception of attacking a camerman. And now, he's pumping his fist, pointing at everyone, and emoting EVERY pitch. While its somewhat surreal, I am enjoying the performance.

2. And no, Pinko, you were not the only Expo fan in North America, even though I am sure it seemed that way at times. I always believed baseball in Canada was an interesting idea. Montreal was really a great organization. Phenomenal talent went through that minor league system every year. They had some greats: Carter, Raines, Rogers, Dawson, Cromartie, Walker, Guerrero, etc. Its a shame!

3. The DH is a joke - its NOT the way the game is supposed to be played. It is understandable why the Senior Circuit is a favorite of most baseball fans. But, this Tiger team is special. Whether its Jim Leyland's magic or the fan face painting, the Bengals have been great for the game in 06'. While I predicted Detroit in five, I welcome a lengthy World Series.

4. Pinko, I appreciate your baseball insight and comments. While hockey remains the passion, I cannot ignore the Fall Classic. However, now I need to address Faux's explanation regarding the Flyer situation, so I am signing off. Oh hey, how about your boy Souray the other night? 2 goals and 4 points - very un-Poti like. He's making an early season bid for the Norris. LOL

don't get me going on about souray...let him pot all the goals he wants, just makes him all the more tradeable come deadline time.
