Happy to be on board

1. As my initial order of business, I would like to offer my appreciation to the wonderful team at FAUXRUMORS in granting me the opportunity to opine and present my commentary on the world of sports. I must admit, however, that I do not profess to be as learned as many of my colleagues here at FAUX regarding the complexities and inner workings of the "rumor mill." My contribution to this blog will focus more on my observations and reactions to the events and happenings as they play out among the Big Four (NHL, MLB, NBA, NFL). Hockey has been a passion as long as I can remember, therefore, it is a topic that will garner the most attention.

2. Notice that I am well versed in the art of numbering the various agenda items. I look forward to getting to know many of you through the network of connections that operate in the FAUX family. I plan to make several impromptu appearances on the NHL cities tour, as I am always one to relish the views and opinions of hockey fans throughout this country and our friends to the North. Have a great weekend everybody and I shall return shortly. ANTZ off!!!

This site seems to be dying too...I can count only 5 Posts of any significance in October!

1. Leetch back to Toronto
2. The Latest
3. Penguins moving North
4. Its Quiet
5. Lou does it again

The rest seems to take up space on my screen worse than that bouncing purple web ape my nephew downloaded and I can't get rid of!

A couple links to polls doesn't exactly thrill! And with all the welcomes and thanks for having mes you would think that someone could write something meaningful...anything? What happened to all the sources out there?

1) Its seems your entire silly blog is devoted some guy named 'Code'.
2) Talk about dying, reading your blog would cause many to commit suicide, or fall dead asleep. LOL
3) The best parts that we have seen is when FAUXRUMORS contributes to your silly gibberish.
4) As we don't have paid customers, we're not going to publish silly rumors that don't exist. That might seem like a dying blog to you, but shows our journalistic integrity to almost all others who care about such things.
5) BTW, who appointed you blog monitor? If we wanted your opinion, we'd give it to you.

If you don't want my opinion turn off the comments section...otherwise I will comment as I see fit!

And perhaps instead of criticizing one of the few people that currently visits your blog you might want to look at what is being said and see how it might improve your blog.

And before you say you are getting tons of hits...remember it is easy to track and determine how many hits your blog gets and how many unique hits it gets!

1) While we may not have been as blunt as FAUXRUMORS2 was in their retort to Hockeyntz, we do agree with the gist of what they wrote.
2) We feel the criticism is unfounded/unwarrented. To say that a blog is 'dead' because we aren't creating rumors is a weak reason to negatively judge the site.
3) Especially this time of year in the NHL season when typically very few deals are consummated. If this were March or June 'Nutz may have had a valid point.
4) As for our popularity/number of hits. We're not as caught up with that as 'Nutz seems to be, BUT from what we have seen this site has had very consistent growth in terms of hits/day(unique).
5) However, we didn't create the blog to be 'popular'. We created it to have fun/express our opinions/share some unique insite/give others some inside information when we hear some.

Then start expressing those opinions/share that unique insight until you hear some inside info...but quit high fiving each other...save the hugs!

1) Thanks 'rainbow for your support. We're not too worried about any criticism. As we grow so will the snipers. It goes with the territory. Some of 'Nutz comments were understandable, but most unnecessary
2) We will continue to share our in site and rumors as well as unique slant on our favourite game, NHL hockey
3) We will NOT descend like the rumor-whores and post unsubstantiated rumors just for the sake if it
4) We believe this thread has gone on long enough. Time to move on.

people, people, please wheres the love...this site seems to be growing, i come here all the time, as do you hockeynutz, sling arrows when the slinging is justified...but why be overly critical for the shake of beening critical...its slow out there rumour wise...most teams are still, evaluating their rosters...give it a month or so, a few injuries, poor starts from specific teams...then the rumours will fly.

Unknown said...

Its always slow rumorwise for FauxRumors...check out their accuracy on this years UFA predictions...DISMAL...and they say they have insiders?

Unknown said...

I analyze all their UFA predictions on my BLOG...

BRUTAL!

1) We read the 'Nutz analysis and responded in-kind to set the record strait
2) We never mind criticism, or even down right distortions. All publicity is good publicity.
3) Our loyal readers who have been with us from the beginning know the difference and this is why we are growing each and every day.
4) Thanks for the e-mails of support as well. We may not be able to respond to all of them as we are also getting set for our lengthy North American trip, but rest assured we will remain in touch here and with our voluminous sources through out the league!
