Here's what we have been hearing concerning the remaining free agents:
Dumont- Buffalo by September. Habs never had much interest despite what others were saying
David Tanabe- Mulling over offers from the Rangers and Oilers. Oilers have upper hand right now
Viktor Kozlov- Caps have interest, but Viktor prefers a contender. He will decide in 1-2 weeks
Yanic Perreault- Caps. probably announced by september unless they can get a better center thorough a trade
Anson Carter- Stays in Vancouver if they come up with 2 years 2+ mil. Else a return to the Big apple is possible

The Caps need a centermen,. but don't want to give up anything to get one. Yannic would be like their Cassells signing last September. Hopefully for them this time it will work out for them.
One of our sources has indicated a 'West coast' team has jumped into the Dumont dance. LA?
